American Legion (Post 17)

Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) program provides assistance for health and welfare of children of veterans when no other resources are available. Grants for food, shelter, utilities, education, and other needs.

Department of Family Services

Provides economic assistance services in the form of SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, LIEAP (home heating help) and more at local field offices. Manages juvenile probation for the state, licensing all facilities housing and treating youth. DFS also is the state's child care licensing authority. The agency is the state's primary resource for child and adult protection matters. The agency also works to enforce existing child support orders or work with families to establish paternity, child and medical support orders.

Needs, Inc

Provides Laramie County residents with short-term emergency services. These services include but are not limited to assistance with food, clothing and household items, school supplies and Toys for Tots. Provide case planning and referrals.

Salvation Army

Provides hot meals once a day every day, showers, laundry facility for job seekers, commodities, and assistance with utilities. Also provides lodging for families whose relative is a patient in local hospital.
