The Blanket for Laramie County Kids volunteer goals are to provide handmade blankets for children in crisis. The program is fully supported by volunteers.
In 2015, Project Linus (former name of Blanket for LC Kids) delivered over 1200 blankets to various locations in Cheyenne who serve children in crisis: CRMC ER, Pediatrics, and Same-Day Surgery; Safe House; Safe Harbor; LCSD No. 1 social workers; urgent care facilities; and other entities who have contacted us. We will continue to serve all of these entities and hope to deliver over 1500 blankets in 2016 as volunteers for Blankets for Laramie County Kids. We are currently working with both the Army and Air National Guard to provide blankets for children of service men and women who will be deployed in 2016. In partnership with the Laramie County Community Partnership, we hope to reach out to even more young people from ages birth to 18 to provide them with the comfort and security a handmade blanket can provide during difficult times in their lives.
We welcome your support and hope you will continue to help us provide comfort to the young people who need the warmth and security a handmade blanket can provide.
